Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Jordan Valley Medical Center welcomes Dr. Joseph Fyans to our team of talented specialists. Dr. Fyans grew up in Salt Lake City. He received his medical degree at New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York, and completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine.

Dr. Fyans specializes in acute and chronic spine, joint, muscle/tendon injuries.

ACL Program
August 4, 2011
SportsMed Utah's ACL injury prevention program is offered at no cost for the benefit of all athletes and coaches.  It is intended to be used as part of the daily training routine and game warm-up associated with competitive athletics. This program was developed with an emphasis on proper mechanics to improve strength and flexibility and with the goal of more successfully preventing non-contact ACL rupture. The program consists of 5 components: warm-up, strength training, agility drills, plyometrics, and flexibility activities. This program was developed as an educational tool to aid in the proper training of athletes to develop sound mechanics as well as increase strength and flexibility to prevent non-contact ACL injuries.
